Visual Artist

I heard about the Guild at a homeschool conference and was very excited about the idea of artists coming together to learn from one another, and to be able to draw from the experience of seasoned artists. Of course I wanted to be a part of that coming together! It would be another four years before I finally made it to the 2016 Guild. Before the Guild I was playing with the idea of starting some kind of card company that would sell my unique pieces of art, but I was taking my time to get my vision moving. The opportunity the Guild gave me to share my drawings with fellow artists was incredible, not to mention the encouragement I received from them! I came home inspired to continue learning and growing in the Lord and the gifts He has given me. Even now almost two years later I am still working at my art, mastering it, and excited to share it with as many people as possible!

In my opinion, to be an artist is the closest one can get in appreciating the amazing creative genius of GOD. I know that nothing I draw could even come close to capturing the art He has put in motion throughout creation; the idea that the desire to create through drawing was put in me by the ultimate Artist for a purpose and a plan is what fuels my passion to share it. I challenge you to daily pursue your passion, and let the light of God shine through it!
