I had wanted to attend the Guild for several years, but didn't have the chance to go until 2018. My experience was unlike any I'd ever had. As an acting student, I had the privilege to work alongside teachers David Sanborn and Rich Swingle. They taught me the fundamentals of acting and helped me hone my skills. I had the opportunity to work on numerous projects with fellow Guild students and also got to act in a short film that the film students produced.
As great as the classes and theater projects were, the Guild was so much more than that. From early morning devotions, to worship in Letchworth State Park, to biblical sessions each night, to conversations with other brothers and sisters in Christ, my relationship with the Lord was strengthened. I had a renewed desire to know God on a deeper level.
The skills I learned at the Guild will stay with me for the rest of my life. I'm continually amazed at how much the Lord used that one week to stretch and grow me in ways I had never experienced before.
