Artist, Potter
It's been nearly three years since I attended the Lamplighter Guild but I still count it as one of the most incredible, formative times of my life. I'm so grateful for the vision of the Guild and the creative spark that it fans into flame for so many of us. The Lord really used my time at the Guild to reorient my life around Christ. I was fresh out of high school when I attended and had been planning things 'my' way instead of surrendering my future to God. Since that revelation, I began working towards becoming a full time artist and ceramicist. During my training in both of those fields, I began looking into missions that use the power of the arts to spread the gospel. After exploring many options, I'm thrilled to be writing to you from Puerto Escondido, Mexico! I'm here teaching art at a Christian school started by Global Education Ministries. I'll be here for 4 months as a volunteer while I wait on the Lord's direction for a long-term assignment. Now, I continue to grow in my own artistic abilities as I share the passion God has given me for the arts.

I believe that I shall look upon the goodness of the Lord
in the land of the living!
Wait for the Lord;
be strong, and let your heart take courage;
wait for the Lord!
