Student Testimonies

I was challenged to keep pursuing God and commit my heart fully to Him, holding nothing back! Being out in the country for a week away from the world, studying the Word, was an amazing way to reconnect with the Lord!
— Sophia D.
I experienced exploring the word of God in a deeper way, which led me to draw closer to Him! A dedicated week to reflect on His goodness and godliness helped redirect my heart and attitude on many levels, allowing me to refocus on more of Him and less of me. I was also encouraged to see so many younger classmates using their God-given gifts and talents to glorify God!
— Jeff W.

Main Speaker

Dr. Mark Hamby

For over 30 years, Dr. Mark Hamby has been using stories of Christ-like character to give Christ-centered hope across the world. As the founder of Lamplighter Publishing, Dr. Hamby has been strengthening the examples of character and sharpening the Gospel message in countless books from 17th to 19th century literature. Mark is also the executive producer of Lamplighter Theater, which turns Lamplighter books into dramatic audios heard by millions across 34 countries.

In 2010, Dr. Hamby started the summer Guild for Creative Disciplines which became a catalyst for building The Masters Guild for the Arts, Leadership, and Theology. As the TMG dean and a professor, Dr. Hamby encourages and empowers students to make Christ the center of all things in their lives.

Dr. Warren Gage

Dr. Warren Gage is an ordained minister, acclaimed theologian, and the author of 14 books, including The Gospel of Genesis, that emphasize a Christ-centered approach to the Bible. He is married and has two children.

Help a Student Attend the Summer Guild

If God has given you the desire and the ability to enable His work through others, please consider making a contribution to the Lamplighter Guild Scholarship Fund.

Generous contributions for the first Lamplighter Guild made it possible for many students to attend who would have otherwise not been able. Because of your gifts, these students encountered God in a life-altering way that many have not yet been able to put into words.
